Australian Pork Industry’s “Best Ham” Award!

Westridge Meats is the only butcher shop in Australia to win the Pork Australia’s prestigious award of Australia’s Best Ham TWICE, thanks for Pork Australia.  In 2018, we were also awarded 2nd place in Queensland for Short Cut Bacon.

 

2017 and 2018 Queensland’s

Best Corned Silverside

Westridge Meats has been awarded Best Corned Silverside for two consecutive years at the Royal Queensland Food & Wine Show, which is held at the EKKA every August.  All our Corned Silversides are made in-store by our team of butchers from locally-produced beef.

 

Toowoomba’s Sausage King

On Sunday 10th June 2018, Luke, Michelle and Hugh Jensen took a trek west to the Jandowae Timbertown Festival and entered their sausages in the Outback Sausage King Competition. Westridge Meats and The Ridge Meats achieved the most winning entries for any butcher in the Darling Downs Region. Our awards include Best Poultry Sausage for Westridge Meats’ Chicken, Honey and Chives while The Ridge Meats won Best Gourmet Burger for their Coconut, Chicken Curry and Vegetable Patties and second and third in the Continental Sausage for their Lucania and Boerewors Sausages.
